This easy healthy apple crumble has 1/2 the carbs as traditional crumbles, 60% less sugar, 4 x's as much protein, and twice as much fiber

apples white & brown sugar alternatives vinegar or lemon juice corn starch hazelnuts or other nut whole wheat or almond flour butter ground flax seed spices & salt
Combine diced apples, corn starch, sugar and vinegar in a bowl and mix well. Place in a greased 3 qt. baking dish.
Make the filling
Combine crumb topping ingredients into a small bowl and mix well. Work to break up the butter until you have smaller pea size balls and a crumbly texture.

Spread crumble topping over the apple filling and bake till apples are soft and bubbly and topping is golden brown.
Allow to cool so that the filling firms up a bit (may be a bit runny straight out of the oven). Serve with vanilla ice cream
