Ingredients

  • 1 lime juiced
  • 4 ounces tequila
  • 2 ounces Grand Marnier
  • 4 basil leaves
  • 4 cucumber slices
  • 3 jalapeno slices
  • 1 tablespoon honey you could also use agave syrup or maple syrup
  • 2 cups ice
  • salt, lime, basil leaf and cucumber slice for garnish

Instructions

  • In a cocktail shaker, place the cucumber slices, basil, jalapeno, lime juice and honey. Muddle the cucumber and basil with a cocktail muddler or the back of a wooden spoon, just to release the juices and herbal essence.
  • Add the tequila and Grand Marnier to the cocktail shaker, along with 1 cup of ice. Cover with a lid and shake till well mixed.
  • Fill 2 cocktail glasses with ½ cup each, and equally pour out the cocktail into each glass.
  • Top with a splash of club soda and add garnish.

Notes

If you want to salt your rim, this cocktail tastes great with a chili rim, such as Tajin. Before adding ice to the glass, use a lime wedge to moisten the rim and then dip in salt or Tajin. Pour in ice and cocktail as instructed.
